How it works:

First, decide that you want a guide.

Consider that Korea is a very modern country and Seoul has many great resources for supporting tourists. Even still, you can’t beat a local’s knowledge and skill. If you would like the assistance of someone who speaks the local language, understands the culture, and knows how to find the best places to visit, then you need a Yu and Me Tours Guide! Next, email us.

Once you have decided to use our services, simply email us with your name, your needs, interests, and travel dates. Once we confirm our availability we will start a conversation to plan out the perfect trip for you.

Then, book your flights and accommodations.

Since we are a small travel company, we do not currently have the ability to book flights and hotels for our guests. However, thanks to a great deal of experience, we can recommend the best flight itineraries and the most convenient and comfortable hotels for your needs.

Next, send your deposit and keep planning with us.

Send the deposit to secure your dates and continue the planning process. We will communicate with you as we find events, deals, classes, experiences, and places to go that suit your interests in Korea. We pride ourselves on finding the hard-to-find, so don’t be shy about special requests.

Then, pay for your tour.

Pay the remaining tour fee before your tour date. Book and pay early to take advantage of some of our discounts!

FAQs

The guide fee covers the guide’s time, effort, and knowledge as well as transportation within Seoul, meals* , necessary equipment, entry tickets, and class fees.
*Exceptions apply for unique luxury dining experiences

5% discount for paying the full tour price at least 30 days in advance.
5% discount for allowing us to use photos of you enjoying your tour on our website and social media
Welcome back! Enjoy a 5% discount on your next visit, or transfer the savings to friends and family you've referred to us.
As of January 2024 we are raising our fees to reflect the rising cost of tours, including food and transportation. Starting in 2024 our guide fee will be $60.00 USD per hour for a group of 1 - 3 people. Please note that this fee includes nearly everything for your tour. Groups of 4 - 6 people can be accommodated for a slightly increased rate, determined by the type of custom tour you want.
Private, custom tour guests may choose to change the details of their tour anytime before the tour date. However, changes made less than 30 days before the tour date will lose 5% of their early booking discount. Changes made less than 1 week before the tour date will forfeit their early booking discount. Some changes, such as appointments at exclusive salons, or class times, cannot be accommodated less than 2 weeks before the tour date.
Guests are free to cancel without penalty up to 20 days before the date of the tour. Cancellations 19 days (or less) before the date of the tour will forfeit half of the deposit amount. Cancellations less than 5 days before the date of the tour will forfeit the entire deposit amount. Cancellations less than 24 hours before tour start time will lose their deposit and be charged an additional 10% cancellation fee which will be deducted from their refundable tour fee. No-shows will not be refunded their booking fees nor deposits. (A guest is considered a no-show if they are more than 1 hour late and have made no attempt to contact the guide. No-show does not apply to late flights.)
Cancellations in the event of unpaid booking fees will not refund deposits.
In the event that Yu and Me Tours must cancel a tour for their own reasons, guests will receive a full refund of all fees and deposits. If Yu and Me Tours must change your pre-designated guide for any portion of the tour, your guide fee will be adjusted to reflect the change and the excess fees will be refunded at the end of the tour.
